PRIVACY & INFORMATION

A clear view of how your information is used.

This notice covers card authorisations and search orders, website enquiries, private transaction briefs, buy-side criteria, survey responses and professional research.

RAFT is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. Questions and rights requests can be sent to hello@raftre.com.

Website, enquiry and customer information

RAFT uses Plausible Analytics to understand aggregate website activity, including page visits, referral sources, campaign information, device and browser categories, approximate location and privacy-safe actions such as opening a product page or starting a project submission. Plausible does not use cookies or persistent identifiers, and RAFT does not send names, email addresses, free-text form answers or confidential deal information to Plausible. See the Plausible Data Policy.

When you submit a project, request a sample or contact RAFT, we collect the details you provide, the page you submitted them from and any campaign information in the link. If you complete a full Search brief, we also save your opportunity and funding requirements, including any entities you ask us to exclude, alongside your contact details. We use these details to review your request, confirm whether RAFT can cover it and contact you about the proposed Search. Occasional product or market updates are optional on the project form; RAFT records the preference, time and notice version so that choice can be respected. You may withdraw that preference at any time.

To protect the interest form from automated or excessive submissions, RAFT creates a one-way keyed identifier from the visitor's network address and records a short-window submission count. The raw network address is not stored in the interest record, and the identifier is not supplied to Plausible or used to qualify the lead.

When you propose a contribution to The Developer's View, RAFT collects the professional details, company information, markets and perspective you choose to provide. We use them to assess the proposal and contact you about the editorial contribution. Submitting a proposal does not guarantee publication and does not add you to a marketing list. Product-update consent remains separate and optional.

If an article proceeds, the contributor approves attributed quotes and may correct factual errors in the introduction before publication. RAFT may publish the contributor's name, professional title, company, approved statements, relevant company links and disclosed context about named commercial relationships. Private terms are not published without permission.

If you used the former free homepage search, RAFT created a one-way identifier from your network address to prevent automated or excessive use within a short period. The raw network address was not stored in the free-search record. When a search was completed, RAFT also created an internal operational report containing the search text, the criteria you confirmed and the anonymous preview results shown to you. The report is available only to authorised RAFT personnel and is used to operate, protect and improve the service; it does not include your raw network address or its one-way identifier.

When you choose to open live chat, RAFT loads the Tawk.to chat service. Tawk.to processes the messages and contact details you choose to provide, together with technical information needed to operate and secure the service, on RAFT's behalf. The third-party chat service is not loaded until you choose to open it. Do not include confidential documents, passwords or payment information in chat. See the Tawk.to Privacy Policy for information about its processing and international data transfers.

When you submit a Capital Search, we collect your contact details, project and capital requirement, exclusions and any reasons you provide. Document uploads are currently disabled. If RAFT enables them later, files will remain private and quarantined until a malware scan has verified the exact stored file. Payment card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by RAFT.

Asset sales and buy-side criteria

For an Asset Sale enquiry, RAFT collects the contact details, professional role, authority and asset or transaction information you submit. This can include ownership and SPV details, deal structure, income, yield and debt information. The enquiry is used to screen the asset and discuss scope. Assets are not publicly listed; the seller approves buyers before transaction information is released.

When a buyer, investor or lender completes a form or guided interview, RAFT stores their professional contact details and the acquisition, investment or lending criteria they provide. These criteria remain confidential and are used to review potential fit and contact the participant about relevant opportunities. Self-reported criteria are reviewed before use as an approved profile. Optional product updates remain a separate choice.

Brief extraction and survey responses

If you choose to prepare a structured brief from pasted text, the text is processed by an AI service provider to propose fields for your review. The proposed fields require confirmation and do not independently verify the claims in your brief. Please submit only information you are authorised to share.

For the developer survey, RAFT stores your answers and the professional details supplied at the end of the questionnaire to analyse responses, contact you about your contribution and send the finished report. Survey participation does not add you to a marketing list. Naming you or your organisation, or publishing an attributed quotation, requires separate approval of the wording.

Public professional information

RAFT may use limited professional information about people working in the professional real-estate market: name, employer, professional title or function, office location, public professional profile links and publicly reported professional activity. RAFT does not use automated direct-email or telephone discovery for this layer and does not provide direct professional email addresses or telephone numbers in customer reports.

Sources may include official employer websites and publications, public registers, established professional press, public professional profiles and licensed data services whose reuse and retention terms have been reviewed. RAFT records source and review information and requires human approval before a professional profile is reused.

RAFT relies on its legitimate interests in producing accurate business-to-business real-estate market research, resolving professional and organisational identities and identifying relevant professional functions. RAFT balances those interests against the person’s rights, limits the fields used and does not make solely automated decisions about individuals. This professional research information is not used for direct marketing without a separate lawful basis.

Where information was obtained from another source and UK GDPR Article 14 applies, RAFT will provide the required information within the applicable period, normally no later than one month and earlier if RAFT first communicates with the person or discloses the information.

Sharing, retention and security

RAFT may show approved, relevant professional facts and public profile links to customers receiving a specific report. Approved editorial contributions may be published on the RAFT website and shared through RAFT social channels. RAFT also uses service providers needed to host the service, process payments and deliver communications. RAFT does not sell personal information.

Unapproved discovery information is kept outside live products. Approved professional facts are reviewed for accuracy and suppressed when they are no longer necessary, accurate or appropriate to use. Customer and operational information is retained only for the relevant service, security and legal purposes. RAFT records deletion deadlines for quarantined files and blocks access unless malware-scan evidence matches the stored file.

Your rights

You may ask RAFT for access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability where applicable, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or withdraw a marketing preference. You may also ask RAFT to suppress a professional profile or public profile link while a request is reviewed. Email hello@raftre.com. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office if you believe your information has not been handled properly.

Search orders and card authorisations

Stripe processes card details and any promotion code at checkout. RAFT stores the order reference, agreed requirement, exclusions, consent record, authorised amount, discount and payment status. RAFT does not store your full card number. We use these records to review your order, collect the authorised amount only after approval, release declined authorisations and provide order updates.
